SimpleTire’s view on Carlstar Turf Smart tires

Carlisle has been known for years as a top supplier of lawn and garden, agricultural, and OTR tires. Even though their name has recently been changed to Carlstar, they still make some of the best tires for specialty lawn and turf applications, and the Carlstar Turf Smart is no exception. The Carlstar Turf Smart is an excellent choice for zero-turn mowers (ZTR) as well as conventional riding mowers, and a top choice as a replacement for factory tires.

Its innovative tread design delivers traction on delicate turf without scalping or compaction, and its shoulder design means stability even when working on slopes. The wider footprint gives the Carlstar Turf Smart excellent weight dispersal so heavier ZTR mowers won’t leave tracks on turf surfaces. It’s durable enough for years of service and is an excellent choice for commercial landscaping use or for homeowners who need a reliable tire for a ZTR mower. Its minimal turf impact makes it a great choice for manicured grass such as baseball diamonds, cemeteries, or parks.

Vehicles the Carlstar Turf Smart is a good replacement tire for

These tires have great traction without sacrificing your lawn, i have been very suprised at how they grip without tearing up the grass. They hold hills very well on my zero turn to the point that you have to be careful how you are driving because you will flip the mower on a slope before you slide! Have had them on my commercial mower for 2 years now and cant see any real wear yet

The zero turn I put these on is 17 yrs old and had the original tires. Tread was still good, but they were hard & slick, esp. on damp grass. The new tires worked better, but not as well as I expected. They loaded up with mud quickly.

Very nice tire. Works great for a zero turn mower. Tires were delivered in one day w/standard shipping. Hundreds cheaper than local mower dealer too! Simple Tire, you've got a new fan!
