Dr. Benjamin Franklin Goodrich opened the first North American tire factory in Akron, Ohio in 1870, and made sure that performance was part of the brand's core values. Since then, BFGoodrich has made numerous innovations in the tire industry such as supplying tires for the first car to cross the United States in 1903 and becoming the first manufacturer to win the Indianapolis 500 two years in a row, to introducing the first tubeless tire in 1947. BFGoodrich is most known for their iconic Radial T/A tire, which features a Raised White Letter sidewall and is a popular choice for drivers of American muscle cars. Today, BFGoodrich is part of the Michelin family and their tires are used for everything from daily commuting to on- and off-road racing.
