Founded in 1912 by George F. Armstrong, Armstrong was the 5th largest tire manufacturer in the world in the 1960s. Pirelli purchased Armstrong Tires in the 1980s, and the company was then purchased by ZAFCO in 2012. Since then, Armstrong has been manufacturing tires for the needs of an ultimate range of passenger and SUV tires that are offered in varied categories like all-terrain, all-season, performance, and highway terrain. They have been manufacturing all-season, all-terrain to UHP tires as per the passenger needs with solid quality and performance.

The Armstrong Blu-Trac PC tire is a next-generation passenger tire that is designed to deliver a smoother ride with reduced road noise and more even tread wear with year-round, all-season traction, even in light snow. But is this the right tire for you? Let us have a look at the Armstrong Blu-Trac PC tire review.

    Features and Benefits

In areas that experience moderate temperatures year-round, finding a set of tires that perform well in dry, wet, and light winter weather conditions becomes a must as changing conditions can make it difficult for your tires to grip the road. Fortunately, all-season tires are an excellent choice if you want a do-it-all tire for your vehicle. Additionally, all-season tires typically offer better-rolling resistance for enhanced fuel economy.

Let’s take a look at the Armstrong Blu-Trac PC tire review to help us understand all its features and benefits at a glance:

    • Smooth performance: The Blu-Trac PC comes with a symmetric tread design that leads to smoother rolling on the road and even tread wear throughout the tire’s lifespan.
    • Quiet, comfortable ride: Dynamic ribs in the form of a three-across set of inner ribs reduces road noise and improves ride comfort.
    • Reduced hydroplaning: Self-locking sipes system ensures exceptional water evacuation to enhance road traction and braking.
    • Solid vehicle handling: The chamfered edges of the lateral grooves reduce rolling resistance and increase tread rigidity.

Ideal for coupes, sedans, CUVs, SUVs, and minivans, the Armstrong Blu-Trac PC offers reliable performance and very high endurance. This tire size ranges from 13 to 16 inches and is covered by Armstrong Tires’ 6-year limited warranty, 24/7 roadside assistance, road hazard repairs, 85,000 mile limited manufacturer tread life warranty, and a 30-day money-back guarantee, if you make your purchase from one of their specified shops, and aren’t happy with your Armstrong Tires, you may swap them for another set free of charge assuming certain terms and conditions are met.

    Pros and Cons

Before deciding to buy Blu-Trac PC tires, let’s first understand a few factors that can help you decide whether or not the tire is right for you.

    • Resists wear for a longer tread life
    • Solid wet grip and handling
    • Symmetric tread pattern delivers strong year-round performance
    • Innovative tread design to reduce hydroplaning risk

While Armstrong makes a good claim about Armstrong Blu-Trac PC’s performance, some shortcomings may divide opinions.

    • Not ideal for use in moderate to severe winter weather conditions
    • Fuel efficiency could be better
    • Should not be used off-road

SimpleTire’s view on Armstrong Blu-Trac PC tires

Designed to deliver upgraded value thanks to even tread wear and a longer tread life, the Blu-Trac PC is designed to deliver a quiet, comfortable ride with year-round traction, even in light snow, along with sound wave suppression technology that makes sure to deliver a quiet ride for the drivers of coupes, sedans, CUVs, SUVs, and minivans.

Innovative chamfered edges that deliver better fuel efficiency and three dynamic inner ribs aid in a quiet, comfortable ride. Additionally, the self-locking sipe system promotes increased traction and braking on wet roads.

Vehicles the Armstrong Blu-Trac PC is a good replacement tire for

Commonly used on passenger vehicles, the Armstrong Blu-Trac PC can be a common replacement tire for vehicles such as the Honda Civic, Toyota Sienna, Ford Fusion, Nissan Sentra, Hyundai Sonata, Chrysler Pacifica, and Volkswagen Passat.

BLU TRAC PC ,, is a tremendous dry weather tire. However, once the temperature drops to about 45 the ride changes , where its not as soft,. , add moisturre to the mix and the there is limited traction around corners , and slippage over slick roads,. I live in the New Jersey,. and have about 8K on these tires and a Mercedes S class sedan , they are wearing very well. strictly a dry weather tire ,. George S, NJ .

I have a 2012 Cadillac CTS Coupe AWD and put a set of these on a couple weeks ago. I just took it out for a spin in the light to moderate snowfall we are getting (no ice). WHITE KNUCKLES! It felt like I was driving on zero tread! I spun out when after I had a guy tailgating me for only driving 48 mph in the light snow. I fish tailed a couple times on a slight curve. Then when I went to make a SLOW turn onto my road, with a jerk tailgating me, the car completely lost traction and I slid sideways into the berm going about 7 mph. NO JOKE! I am a 56 year old and have driven thousands of miles in snow. I can't tell you how disappointed I am with these tires in the winter. I may as well have bought summer tires. These are SLICKS in the snow. IMHO. Sorry to make this sound so gloomy but my wife said she will never ride in that car with me again in the snow. I don't blame her.

Nice smooth ride, quiet. Good in the rain, hasn't snowed yet so I don't know how they handle snow. I would recommend.

You cannot find a tire by any other brand for this price range with a 80k treadwear rating. This is the best buy in tires out there for passenger cars.

Nice tires for the money but since I live in Arizona, there hasn't been rain yet so I can't say how good these tires are on the wet road and the same goes with the snow. But overall, I am pretty happy with the tires and they do offer a quiet ride. And as far as treadwear, I gave them a five because they are supposed to have an 85000 mile tread life.

Pretty solid tire overall for the price. Good all-season performance, including competent handling in the snow. Very nice handling for a standard passenger car tire on dry pavement and in wet conditions. I have not had them long but they seem as though the will wear quite gradually and last a long time. The rubber on the sidewalls is very firm, which makes the ride feel a bit less cushy than some softer tires but they do not give a noticeably harsh ride. Pretty happy with these and would consider buying them again, my only reservation is that they are made in Thailand rather than the USA but that is not itself a deal breaker. Just thought I'd include that for anyone else who cares about buying domestically made tires or where their tires are sourced.
