Established in 1996, Accelera Radial has gained popularity owing to its stylish, dynamic, and value-driven tires. Although it specializes in ultra-high-performance tires, it has a wide range of tire sizes in other categories such as all-season, all-terrain, mud-terrain, UHP all-season, and winter. Among its all-season tire lines, the Epsilon stands out with its great performance in challenging road and climate conditions.

Designed for sedans, coupes, and minivans, the Accelera Epsilon features a directional tread pattern and reinforced construction for consistent grip, traction, and handling during high-speed runs. Whether you need to quickly brake, turn, or accelerate, these tires offer adequate traction and stability without costing a bomb. The deep and wide grooves help in the quick channeling of water from the tread to regain traction and limit aquaplaning. While the special silica helps in reducing road noise, the advanced design matrix boosts great handling and stability on dry and wet surfaces. The unique all-season tread compound allows enhanced grip, control, and performance year-round in dry, wet, and light snowy conditions.

So, is the tire worth going for? Let’s find out the answer in this Accelera Epsilon tire review.

    Features and Benefits

All-season tires are engineered to offer superior grip and traction in dry, wet, and light snowy conditions. Their special rubber compound lasts longer than most other tire types. The Epsilon promises to deliver the same; let’s understand the how behind it.

    • Solid grip and traction: The dynamic directional tread pattern helps clear water efficiently from the tread to mitigate the risk of hydroplaning. While the central tread area with solid rib improves handling response, the broad shoulders with lateral grooves boost its stability and longer tread life.
    • Low noise: The optimized tread design of the Accelera limits road noise from entering the cabin so you enjoy a comfortable and quieter ride. The special silica compound not only helps in shelving decibels but also boosts grip in dry and wet conditions.
    • Sporty handling: The advanced design matrix makes it a very rare sporty tire that works great in both dry and wet conditions without you feeling the pinch.
    • Long-lasting: The special all-season tread compound promotes uniform, gradual wear. The large shoulder blocks not only help in allowing better cornering but also aid in ensuring even wear.

SimpleTire’s view on Accelera Epsilon tires

In a nutshell, the Epsilon (starts around $57) is a great tire option for passenger car drivers looking for a decent all-season tire that aids spirited drives, offers adequate traction, grip, and tread life, and doesn’t burn a hole in their pockets. While it has a lot of aces up its sleeves, the absence of a warranty is a real setback.

It locks horns with the likes of Kenda Kenetica (KR17) (starts around $78), Sceptor 4XS (starts around $59), and Milestar MS932 Sport (starts around $60).

Wanted a sporty feeling street tire for my AE86 that I could run through cold dry days in the colorado winter. There's not many sport tire options in this size, but this one does the trick. Very respectable steering response and grip levels considering their high treadwear rating. I don't drive the car that much, but I haven't even worn off the manufacturing nub things yet. I have a feeling these are going to last a while.
