Founded in 1962 in Taiwan, Kenda got its start making bicycle tires and has since expanded into everything from wheelchair and lawn/garden tires to a comprehensive lineup of light truck, automotive and commercial tires today. Kenda’s Klever family of all-terrain, rugged-terrain and mud-terrain tires are designed around the torque, power, weight and performance of today’s generation of 4WD-equipped pickup trucks, Jeeps, and SUVs and are packed with advanced features and innovations that deliver confident performance and durability. Kenda leverages their decades of experience and technical expertise into every tire, and it pays off for drivers. If you’re in need of that kind of tough and tenacious tire, the Kenda Klever family will definitely check all those boxes for you.

Kenda Klever A/T (KR628)

The Klever A/T from Kenda is an all-terrain light truck tire that’s designed to conquer some of the most difficult terrain and off-road conditions while still providing a nice balance of composed behavior on the pavement. Kenda Klever A/T (KR628) is nothing if not durable, with a damage-resistant tread formulation, twin high tensile steel belts, and a 3-ply sidewall that guards against cuts, punctures and impacts. Its aggressive all-terrain tread features robust tread blocks and deep tread depth for great grip and long wear. The Klever A/T’s semi-continuous center rib lends good road manners and solid stability, as well as responsive steering and handling, and its tread pitch is randomized and computer tuned to keep road noise low by canceling certain frequencies and overtones. This all-terrain tire is covered by a 50,000 mile limited manufacturer’s tread life warranty and features a great-looking white letter sidewall.

Kenda Klever R/T (KR601)

[Rugged-terrain tires]](https://simpletire.com/categories/rugged-terrain-tires) are designed to split the difference between all-terrain and mud-terrain tires when it comes to traction, durability and performance, and the Kenda Klever R/T (KR601) is a great example of what a rugged-terrain tire is supposed to be about. The Klever R/T (KR601) is derived from Kenda’s motorsports designs, with race-proven performance against competitors in Kenda’s “Podium2Pavement” design process. It is designed to dominate off-road conditions without sacrificing the comfort and road manners of an all-terrain tire like the Klever A/T. The Klever R/T features the Triple Threat 3-ply sidewall and a built-in rim guard to shield the sidewall and wheels against curb scuffs and abrasions, along with a tough, damage-resistant tread formulation.

The Klever R/T excels in wet conditions with interlocking center tread blocks and wide grooves that easily drain rainwater, snow and slush from the tire’s contact patch. It is pre-drilled for easy installation of TSMI #15 studs in case of severe winter weather, and its dense pattern of sipes slices through snow and slush (check local State laws for use of studs). Aggressively-styled upper sidewall blocks feature lugs that wrap around from the shoulder for enhanced lateral grip. Select sizes of the Klever R/T are available with sharp-looking red letter sidewalls that recognize its racing heritage.

Kenda Klever MT (KR29)

If you like to take on the most extreme mud and rough terrain or if you regularly have to traverse rough jobsites, logging roads, ranch roads or oilfield lease roads, mud-terrain tires are often the only thing that can get you the kind of traction and durability you need. The Klever MT is ready to report for duty as this tough mud-terrain tire is designed with Kenda’s Triple Threat 3-ply sidewall and a cut-and-chip resistant tread compound, with wraparound lugs at the shoulder that aid in sidewall protection as well as lateral grip. For tough mud and rough terrain, the Kenda Klever MT (KR29) has Kenda’s innovative DESB (Debris Ejecting/Suction Breaking) ridges to easily shed mud and gravel from the grooves, so there’s always a clear section of tread to dig in as the wheel turns. Interlocking tread blocks at the tread’s center work together with full-depth sipes for unbeatable grip on mud, loose dirt, sand or snow.

Kenda Klever M/T2 (KR629)

For the M/T2, Kenda built on the success of the Klever M/T and worked in some great upgrades. The M/T2 features the Triple Threat 3-ply sidewall, DESB ridges and tough tread compound of the M/T, but with an optimized tread pattern designed to lessen road noise and a built-in mud diffuser feature that enables it to easily rid itself of mud, stones and debris. The Klever M/T2’s “blockchain” sidewall, along with a heavy-duty rim guard, protects the Klever M/T2 against punctures and abrasions. Kenda Klever M/T2 (KR629) has a proven track record in the motorsports world with plenty of wins in short course off-road racing and rallies, and is part of Kenda’s “Podium2Pavement” design family.

Kenda Klever S/T (KR52)

The Klever S/T (KR52) is a highway-terrain tire for light trucks and SUVs that’s designed to deliver the same kind of road manners, comfort and low noise that you might expect from a Grand Touring passenger tire. Kenda Klever S/T (KR52)](https://simpletire.com/brands/kenda-tires/klever-s-t-kr52) features an asymmetric all-season tread design with a continuous center rib for solid straight-line stability and quick steering response. This all-season tire](https://simpletire.com/categories/all-season-tires) gets sipes, circumferential grooves, and “lightning grooves” that aid in wet-weather traction by averting hydroplaning on wet roads. The tread pitch of the Klever S/T is randomized and computer tuned to keep road noise low, and its internal construction and tread are designed for a supple, refined ride. Kenda covers the Klever S/T with a 60,000 mile limited manufacturer’s tread life warranty.

Other Kenda Klever tires

In addition to the above tires, the Kenda Klever family of tires also includes the:
