I went from Indy 500 to this one and I am very happy with the results! I have a heavy foot so I am happy that when it is times to go fast I can count on them but I can also count on them when it's raining!

The world’s fourth largest tire manufacturer, Continental has been the pioneer of many tire technologies we see in modern tires. Established in 1871, the German tire maker has a wide portfolio of tire lines right from ultra-high-performance and winter to touring and all-terrain. Among its all-season, UHP tire lines, the ExtremeContact DWS06 was an instant hit when it debuted back in 2015. The letters D, W, and S in its name stand for dry, wet, and snow and are molded into the tread so that drivers can visually check how their tire is optimized. The ExtremeContact DWS06 won the Best New Product award in the Tire & Related Product category at SEMA.
Launched in 2021, the ExtremeContact DWS06 Plus takes things a notch higher with its increased ability to offer impeccable braking, traction, and handling performance. It displayed an impressive improvement of 10% in wet braking performance and 11% in snow traction compared to its previous iteration. The DWS06 Plus is available in 100 sizes that cover almost 96% of the all-season, UHP segment. The tire offers an incredible tread design that is not only appealing to look at but also delivers impressive performance, be it braking, handling, or longevity. Well, the tire promises a lot, but does it deliver? Let’s find out in this Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 Plus tire review.
Features and Benefits
The Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 Plus embraces some great traits that very few UHP tires can match. How does it do that? Let’s understand.
SportPlus technology in the ExtremeContact DWS06 Plus helps it deliver responsive handling, excellent grip on wet surfaces, and promotes a longer tread life. Under this innovative tech, the highly engineered blocks, sipes, edges, and grooves assure you get an effective grip in dry, wet, and light winter weather conditions.
QuickView Indicators, a simple yet efficient feature of DWS06 Plus, allows drivers to check two major aspects quickly – performance tuning and alignment. In the former, the letters D, W, and S, representing dry, wet, and snow, respectively, are engraved on the tread; they visually aid the driver in knowing whether the tread is safe to drive in any of the three conditions. When any of the three letters disappear, there is a high dip in its performance on the respective surface.
In the Alignment Verification System, the small rectangles on the shoulders will be visible across each other when the tires are aligned. If the rectangles are missing, it’s an indication that your tire needs an alignment as the tread is wearing unevenly.
The asymmetric tread pattern with strong shoulders and multiple blocks offers excellent handling, braking, and accelerating performance in wet, dry, and snowy conditions. The variable pitch sequencing reduces noise to a minimum while the special rubber compounds make the drive comfortable and confident.
Pros and Cons
The Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 Plus has a long list of benefits and a few disadvantages to its name. Let’s find out what these are.

SimpleTire’s view on Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 Plus tires
To sum up our Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 Plus tire review, let’s see how its competitors are placed in the all-season, ultra-high-performance category. The DWS06 Plus (starts around $125) competes with Goodyear Eagle Exhilarate (starts around $159).
Given the performance and reliability of the Continental ExtremeContact DSW06 Plus, it is aggressively priced compared to its peers. We recommend that you go for the DSW06 Plus as you get everything that an enthusiast would demand – grip, traction, stability, handling, and longevity - and that, too, at a very aggressive price point.
Vehicles the Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 Plus is a good replacement tire for
The ultra-high-performance, all-season ExtremeContact DWS06 Plus should be a natural choice for someone driving a Chevrolet Corvette, Ford Mustang, Volkswagen Jetta, Toyota Camry, or electric vehicle like the Tesla Model S and wants to get the maximum out of their vehicles. This tire gives them superior performance in dry, wet, and light winter weather conditions.

I purchased these as a quick and cheaper replacement for my 2007 Porsche 911 Carrera. When new, these Conti's performed well at the track and autocross events (4 out of 5 stars) but at 1 year, traction began to fade. By 2nd year, the rear tires were toast. Maybe these are good tires for a daily driver commuter vehicle, but not so good for durability on performance cars. I would not recommend these tires UNLESS you can pick them up on sale.
2020 Acura TLX v6 tech, compared to the original equipment Michelins MMX, these out perform in just about all areas. They are very quiet, smooth absorb bumps well and do very well in wet conditions! Handling is very good.
SimpleTire did what the name says...they made the process simple. The price was very competitive, they shipped them to a shop of my choice and they installed them...that Simple!
The DWS 9 plus replace Michelin mmx. The Contis are much quieter, better ride, and have great grip. 500 miles so far and extremely satisfied.
Very impressed. Original tires from factory on 2018 Challenger Hellcat would hydroplane easily and slip around corners. These stick to the road so well that it was noticeable immediately after install. It's only been a couple of months, but I am very happy with them for safety and performance.
So yes, this review is almost a perfect. Reason for that is, I've been driving my 2020 WRX on summer tires since I purchased it. So coming from summer tires being driven during all 4 seasons, these tires are amazing so far. Treadwear is too early to tell.
I can't imagine a better tire for a perfect balance of compromises.. great ride comfort with good noise and still has great stability and confidence with sudden hard turns. And can still perform in cold wet and moderate snow environments.
Went to Yosemite drive good on the snow
