Michelin Motorcycle Tires
Motorcycle tires come in several designs, including a radial carcass, radial cross belted, bias belted and cross ply. Radial carcass tires wind steel bands around the circumference of the tire for a rigid structure, with 90 degree fabric plies underneath. A similar tire is the radial cross-belted tire. It's made with a lower section that's focused on providing better cornering because of reduced weight. Bias belted tires have layers of overlapping piles and include strong materials in the belts. They won't be deformed by centrifugal forces. Cross ply tires use two or more overlapping layers of rubber coated textile cords, which overlap at angles designed for each tire’s purpose.
