I was looking for a good tire for hauling my boat and camper down to the lake, some of the roads I drive down are not nice at all and get washed out a lot. I was basically set on the Goodyear Duratrac's based on all the reviews there are out there...However, these tires have basically the same tread design and are Load range E 10 ply (Duratracs are 8) and 3 ply sidewall (Duratracs are 2). There were not a lot of reviews out when I bought them, but decided to give them a try. They were replacing stock Goodyear SRA's on my 2012 Ram 1500 Hemi. I ran them for a complete summer, and now a complete Northern Ontario Winter. These things are fantastic, they grip everything. They have never left me stuck, or even given the feeling that I am going to get stuck. I've pulled a 23 ft travel trailer and a 17' boat (B-Trains, one trailer behind the other) down old logging roads and up treacherous washed out muddy hills with ease. The only complaint, if you can even call it that, is the road noise. But it is to be expected with such a tread pattern. It isn't as bad as some people say (I read one review that said he needed ear plugs! Ridiculous!), the noise isn't as bad as the B.F.G. Mud Terrains I had on my old truck but it is definitely noticeable. Tread is wearing nice and even, and is actually lasting longer than I expected it to. They still look brand new after a year. I would definitely buy these tires again without thinking twice, they have far exceeded my expectations.
