I'm a professional tire engineer and vehicle test driver. These tires were my choice as the "wet tire" for our 24Hours of Lemons racecar. Affordable and available in small Diameter sizes, these Toyo's are a great choice for WET performance. Notes on performance: Dry: The tread stiffness is low, due to the aggressive grooves. Dry steering will suffer relative to a closed pattern (Toyo R888) and you will definitely feel a bit of delay in step inputs and transient responses with these tires. They are still confident in the dry, you will just risk wearing the pattern excessively if you are on a racetrack at high lateral G's and plowing understeer On every corner. Every day Street driving would be fine. This trade off is worth it if you want confidence in the rain. The deep v-shaped grooves allow you to evacuate water and have higher contact pressure on your tread to prevent hydroplaning in standing water. Wet handling is great. Acceleration and braking is again traded off to achieve the better wet handling performance. A high powered car will require a wider tire than your dry tire to achieve similar contact area.

Excellent performance. Very short life. 10000 miles and I need to change two.
A really nice tire!
I used these on my racecar for the Chihuahua Express 2018. They were phenomenal! great traction on Mexico's mountain roads. They made the 1000 mile race without failure. speeds ranged from 60 - 130 mph. I will use them again in the 2019 race. Well done Toyo! www.tyroracing.com
Good tires to run on an auto cross track.
great tires.
I've had these tires on my car for awhile, I just had to buy two more because only two of my tires were worn, and the newer two (now the older two) are Toyo Proxes T1Rs, and those I've had on there since January. I somehow never realized these were classified as racing tires, but they seem to be fine, seem to do well in the rain, but I'm in GA and have never had to drive in extreme ice and snow, but they aren't supposed to be good for that. They seem to be fine for my everyday driving.
Fantastic tire, good summer/autocross double duty tire. Will probably buy again. Downside though is not quite as grippy in wet conditions as pilot super sports.
Great tires.
