Get technical:
Xterrain Radial Pro Comp Tires have been said to be two tires in one. The aggressive tread provides superior traction, compared to standard all terrain tires, yet is surprisingly quiet on the street.
Features & Benefits
- Computerized Aided Design (CAD) allowed us to manipulate the wind travel through the directional tread pattern making the Xterrain quiet on the highway.
- Its staggered directionally grooved tread pattern has full length lug sipes for superior "On" or "Off Road" traction that makes it superior in mud, snow, slush, loose dirt, rock and road.
- Its alternating open lug shoulder grip spurs aid in increased traction and self-cleaning. The Xterrain™s extra thick side wall treatment helps resist scrapes and cuts, maximizes a biting edge side wall for increased traction on rocks or in mud.
- Two layers of opposed-angle steel belting spans the tread area for maximum puncture resistance. The opposed angle steel allows the tread to flex under lower air pressure to maximize traction in rock, mud and sand.
- Dualguard™ Polyester Body Plies consist of thick 2 ply polyester construction combined with a blend of dual side wall rubber allowing for maximum puncture resistance with total flexibility when using lower air pressure off road without excessive heat build up.

All-terrain tires offer drivers traction on- and off-road, and are typically used by light truck and SUV drivers who want a tire that's able to climb rocks and perform on the highway.
Designed for use on light trucks and SUVs such as the Ram 1500, Ford F-150, and Chevrolet Silverado. Light Truck tires are strong enough to support a truck's heavier weight and whatever else is being hauled or towed.
This product is not covered by a manufacturer’s treadlife warranty.
Maximum speed capability to safely carry a load for an extended period of time.
The maximum load carrying strength at the specified inflation pressure, also known as ply rating
The maximum carrying capacity for a tire determined by the manufacturer
The side of the tire between the tread and rim, with cosmetic branding as well as information about the tire including manufacturer, model, size, etc.
An identifier of a particular tire line and size combination assigned by the tire manufacturer.
The highest inflation pressure (measured in pounds of force per square inch, PSI) the tire is designed to contain, and should only be used when called for by the vehicle placard
Measured in 32nds of an inch, this metric shows how much tread life is left on a tire, with the tire's traction & stopping capabilities greatly diminished at 4/32nds and less. Tire manufacturers include "tire wear bars" at 2/32nds to indicate when your tire is worn out
The measurement of width from a tires inner sidewall to the outer sidewall
The diameter of a tire that is inflated without any load applied
