A sub-brand of the South Korean tire maker Nexen, Lexani is based in California and manufactures custom wheels and tires. While Lexani Wheels was introduced in 1996, its tire division came into existence in 2016. The emerging brand manufactures tires for passenger cars, SUVs, CUVs, light trucks, and trailers under various categories such as all-season, all-terrain, highway, and UHP (ultra-high-performance). Under its performance all-season tire lines is the Lexani LXHP-102, which promises to offer great performance all year round.

Designed for use on passenger cars like sedans, minivans, and CUVs, the Lexani LXHP-102 features an asymmetric tread design for constant traction in dry, wet, and light winter weather conditions. The ribbed tread pattern improves stability and steering response, and allows for better control over the vehicle and promotes even wear. Deep circumferential grooves aid in removing water quickly from the surface to resist aquaplaning. The aggressive shoulder blocks with lateral grooves provide the necessary grip and traction needed when cornering at moderate speeds.

So, is the Lexani tire able to deliver on the promises it makes? Let’s find out in this Lexani LXHP-102 tire review. Keep reading.

Features and Benefits

All-season tires are engineered to offer excellent traction and grip in dry, wet, and light snow. They are designed to resist changing weather conditions and deliver optimum performance. The LXHP-102 tries to be that budget all-season tire that you crave.

  • Solid grip year-round – The asymmetric tread design provides improved grip and traction on both dry and wet surfaces. The four circumferential grooves quickly remove water from the surface to avoid the risk of hydroplaning. Deep lateral grooves and dense sipes come together to maintain consistent traction over the surface. Improving the cornering performance is the aggressive shoulder blocks.
  • Durable, long-lasting – The use of advanced rubber compounds reduces uneven wear and promotes a longer tread life. The computerized tread block design ensures the driving pressure is optimally distributed among the blocks which ultimately lead to even wear.
  • Reassuring handling and stability – The ribbed tread pattern and solid continuous center rib allows for better steering response and improved stability. The optimized asymmetric design and solid shoulders, too, boost handling and stability and imbibe confidence in the driver.

Pros and Cons

The Lexani LXHP-102 has a good number of positives to its name but it also entails some shortcomings. Let’s take a glimpse at the pros and cons of the tire before having our final say.

Pros

  • All-season tread compound for year-round performance
  • Continuous center rib for precise steering response
  • Asymmetric tread design for improved grip, traction, and longer wear
  • Circumferential grooves for quick evacuation of water
  • Large shoulder blocks for cornering performance
  • Special silica compound for extra durability and even wear
  • Affordable

Cons

SimpleTire’s view on Lexani LXHP-102 tires

To sum it up, the Lexani tire is a great replacement tire option for drivers of sedans, minivans, and CUVs who are looking for an affordable tire. The LXHP-102 offers improved traction and grip, enhanced handling and stability, good cornering ability, and decent tread life. Although it doesn’t come with a manufacturer warranty, the low price largely offsets that quotient. It competes with the likes of Delinte DH7, BlackHawk Hiscend-H HT01, and Kumho Solus TA11.

Vehicles the Lexani LXHP-102 is a good replacement tire for

It can be equipped on vehicles like the Chrysler Pacifica, Chevrolet Equinox, Dodge Avenger, Ford Fusion, Honda Odyssey, Hyundai Accent, Kia Rio, Mazda6, Mitsubishi Outlander, Nissan Maxima, Toyota Camry, Volkswagen Passat, and several others!

These tires are very good - for the price they are excellent. I have a lot of experience racing sedans on DOT radial tires. This particular Lexani LXHP-102 tire is worth twice the price if you are looking for a performance radial. Unqualified endorsement.

Just put the 1st 1000 miles on these tires driving from Phoenix to Austin. Very pleased with these tires. Quiet, very good traction is dry and wet. Smooth ride and didn't take much wheel weight to balance. Would definitely buy again.
