Triangle Tire Recalls Trailer Tires Affecting United States
It has come to SimpleTire's attention that Triangle Tire USA (Triangle) has issued a recall on the following tires:
The following statement was released on September 6, 2017:
Triangle Tire USA (Triangle) is recalling certain Triangle TR643 tires, sizes ST225/75R15. Due to a manufacturing process error, the tires may have a hole where the sidewall and the tread meet, resulting in an air leak. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 109, "New Pneumatic and Certain Specialty Tires." If the tire does not stay inflated, dealers will replace the tires, free of charge.
The recall is expected to begin September 15, 2017.
SimpleTire urges anyone who has purchased these tires in the last few years to please check the production dates on the sidewall of the tires. The DOT Code is easily identified with a small ova circling four numbers. If the tires you purchased fall within the recall dates, owners may contact Triangle customer service at 1-615-610-5050.
