Primewell PS850 Tire Reviews

These tires absolutely not worth the money. I have less than 5000 miles on these and the sidewall split on a turn from a dead stop. There was no excessive load or side wall force to cause this. I was told by dealer that they have had a recall for this on other series tires but this is not covered for this tire. They offered me a tread wear discount. in looking at the tire I do not believe these are steel belted tires, it looks like just plain rubber. Spend the extra on a better tire. I am glad this did not happen at high speed.
I bought these tires for my 2008 Ford Ranger, and I am thoroughly disappointed. They look good tread wise and the price was good but are a terrible ride. Took vehicle to a repair shop thinking something was wrong with front end but turned out to not one but all four tires are out of round. all reviews pretty much give these tires a good rating but not from me. Now to see what Tires Plus is going to say/do about replacing them.
So glad I purchased these tires just wish I got all 4 changed. I was skeptical buying the All Season tires in the middle of winter but the store didn't have the highly rated Winterforce tires so I put these on the front axle, which were worn, leaking and almost 8 years old (purchased used). A few days later we had a heavy snow and I feel confident saying had I not changed them before the storm I probably would have had at least one major accident. They go through several inches of fresh snow no problem. Even on ice and slush you can feel the traction. This is a 98 Ford Contour and it's a front wheel drive but the tires out back are so bad I've gone around corners with no slide on the front only to have the rears slide around on me. I've been at intersections next to newer cars that spin their tires and with these there's minimal slip and I just go. I was planning on putting on the Winterforce tires later and moving the PS 850s to the rear but I'm so impressed I'm considering just getting them on the rear axle instead. If they serve as well Spring through Fall then this was money truly well spent.
i bought these tires to replace worn out ones on my truck. i usually by in pairs only, not 4 at one time in case the tires are not so great. the prime well 850 is a tire, but that about the best that can be said. one might say if your selling your truck or the truck will get little use, these are your tires. in the dry/wet there ok, still spin in wet conditions, but in snow these tires are a joke, would have give 0 stars if possible, no traction what so ever, even with 300 lbs of wt in the bed.. no where, just sit an spin in the snow.. tread life, ride handling an noise are ok.. like i say if your just looking for a tire any tire these 850 are you..
